Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports
PBIS.jpgPositive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) is the District 65-adopted approach to behavior intervention and supports that help children achieve important social and learning outcomes while preventing problem behaviors and improving school climate.

Be Safe  *   Be Ready   *   Be Respectful
PBIS and Eagle Eyes
At some point, your child may come home exclaiming, "I got an Eagle Eye!" Eagle Eyes are  tickets given out to students for doing something good, such as standing in line quietly  or going out of one's way to help someone. Eagle eyes are collected by students and  classes to use toward a goal, such as a chance to win lunch with a teacher, or a class party.  Eagle eyes are part of Orrington's Positive Behavior Incentive System, or PBIS. There are three rules for students to remember to follow: Be Safe, Be Ready, and Be Respectful.
